In this area, you currently work mainly with invoices and recurring invoices in tabs. Further follow-up actions such as credit notes start from existing documents when the corresponding action is available.
Quick Start
- Click + in the tab bar or use the button in the empty state to start a new document
- The selector currently offers Invoice and Recurring Invoice directly
- Without an active company profile, the selection is disabled. Choose a profile in the sidebar first
Understanding Tabs
- Each tab represents its own document. You can keep multiple drafts open in parallel
- A small dot indicates unsaved changes
- Tabs can be closed with X. If many tabs are open, you can scroll horizontally
- The action menu or right-click gives you quick actions such as Save, Save as new, Save as template, or Close
Working Inside a Document
Inside a tab, you can control things such as:
- Sender profile and invoice template
- Recipient, line items, and texts
- Payment data and additional options
- Attachments and supporting document references
- The output format for e-invoices where the document type supports it
- For recurring invoices, the interval, runtime, and behavior of the invoices generated later
Saving & Generating
- After selecting a type, a draft is created
- On first save, choose the name and folder. After that, the document is updated in place
- Save as new creates a copy as a new document
- If a file was already generated, you can open it, print it, or reveal it in Explorer directly from the document
Status & Follow-Up Actions
- Invoices can be finalized, then used for payment recording, marking as paid, or cancellation
- You can create a credit note directly from an existing invoice
- Recurring invoices are stored as templates and executed later automatically or manually
Templates & Integration
- A default invoice template is applied automatically for regular invoices when available
- You can save the current document as an invoice template
- Data from the converter is transferred automatically into a new tab
- Entries from the overview can be opened directly as tabs
