From 2025, all businesses in Germany must be able to receive e-invoices, and from 2028 also send them. With Billance, you can automatically convert existing PDF invoices into compliant e-invoices or create new e-invoices directly – all offline and privacy-compliant.
Simply upload your existing PDF invoice to Billance. The software automatically recognizes all relevant invoice data such as sender, recipient, line items, and amounts using OCR (text recognition). These are then converted into a structured XML format (XRechnung or ZUGFeRD) that meets the requirements of EN 16931.
Yes, Billance offers a free version with limited functionality. The free plan includes basic features such as 1 company profile, 3 recipients, 1 internal contact, and 1 e-invoice validation per day. Affordable subscription options are available for unlimited access and advanced features.
No, Billance works 100% offline. All your invoice data is processed and stored exclusively locally on your computer. No data is transmitted to external servers. This guarantees maximum data protection under the GDPR. AI detection and Cloud Sync are optional online features; if you use them, the necessary data is processed through the respective online feature.
Billance supports the two most important e-invoice formats in Germany: XRechnung (pure XML format, especially for public authorities) and ZUGFeRD (hybrid format with PDF and embedded XML). Both formats comply with the European standard EN 16931 and are therefore legally compliant.
