Yes, Billance offers a free version with limited functionality. The free plan includes 1 e-invoice every 30 days (ZUGFeRD or XRechnung), unlimited e-invoice validations, 1 company profile, 3 recipients, and 1 internal contact. The 30-day period starts when your account is created. Affordable subscription options are available for unlimited e-invoice creation and advanced features.

Billance's core workflow runs locally and offline. Invoice and master data are stored encrypted on your device. Only when you actively use optional online features such as AI detection or cloud sync is the data required for that feature processed online.

Billance supports XRechnung as structured XML and ZUGFeRD as a hybrid PDF with embedded XML. The relevant profiles implement the European EN 16931 standard, and formal validation helps you review the result before export.
