Login & Registration

Welcome to Billance! This guide helps you with sign-in, registration, and the current login options in the desktop app.

Sign In

Billance guides you through the login flow step by step:

  • First, enter your email address
  • Then enter your password
  • Or continue directly with Google or Apple

If the device already knows existing accounts, Billance shows an account picker first.

Desktop Sessions

Billance manages active app sessions depending on your plan:

  • Free: up to 1 active app session
  • Premium: up to 5 active app sessions

If you sign in on a new device while on the Free plan, an older app session is ended.

Forgot Password?

Click "Forgot password?". Billance opens the matching page on billance.de so you can reset your password.

Don't Have an Account Yet?

Click "Create account" if you do not have an account yet. Registration is handled on billance.de.

Registration Process

  1. Set your email address and password
  2. Create the account
  3. Confirm your email address
  4. Then sign in to Billance

Email Verification

After registration, you need to confirm your email address. Without confirmation, Billance can identify you, but it will route you into the verification step afterwards.

Data Storage

  • Your local app data is stored encrypted on the device
  • You can enable cloud synchronization later if needed
  • The desktop app remembers known accounts on the device so you can pick them faster next time

Common Error Messages

  • Invalid credentials: Check your email or password
  • Email not verified: Open the verification link and then sign in again
  • Too many attempts: Wait a moment and try again
  • Connection error: Check your internet connection
  • Session ended: This can happen after signing in on another device or when your session expires
