Cloud Synchronization

Cloud synchronization is a Premium feature. It transfers selected Billance data between your devices in encrypted form; the cloud provider cannot read the business data.

Providers

Depending on the operating system and availability, you can connect iCloud, OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, or WebDAV. WebDAV requires a server URL, username, password, and optionally a root path.

First connection

1. Choose the data areas to synchronize
2. Choose the provider and complete sign-in or authorization
3. Billance checks whether cloud data already exists
4. If needed, choose Merge, Replace local, or Replace cloud

Replace local overwrites local data with the cloud state. Replace cloud uploads the local state as the new cloud baseline. Check the direction carefully and create a backup first when the data is important.

Data areas

You can select company profiles, internal contacts, recipients, products, documents, receipts, recurring expenses, templates, profile settings, payment accounts, and bank reconciliation. Original receipt files have their own subordinate switch. The selection applies to the individual device.

Automation and control

• Sync now starts a manual run
• Auto sync, interval, sync on startup, and mobile data are configured per device
• The desktop app can additionally synchronize before quitting
• Storage overviews show usage by profile and data type
• Individual cloud areas can be deleted and disabled on the device
• Disconnecting keeps local data intact

Offline use and downgrade

The local app remains usable without internet; pending changes synchronize later. If Premium expires, the connection remains stored but sync is paused. A later upgrade can reuse the same configuration.
