The welcome assistant appears after sign-in when no company profile exists yet. You can load existing data from cloud sync or a backup, set up a new profile, or skip the assistant for now.
Load existing data
Load from cloud opens provider selection. Cloud synchronization is Premium; when cloud data already exists, choose Merge, Replace local, or Replace cloud. Load data from backup imports a .billance file after preview and confirmation.
Start fresh
A new profile collects company identity, address, contact, and invoice information. Mandatory fields are checked before completion. Further data can be added later under My Company.

Setup in the desktop app
The desktop assistant has seven steps: Company, Address, Contact, Taxes, Bank Details, Logo, and Review & Finish. Bank and logo are optional, but partially entered bank details must either be completed or removed.
Skip and data security
After skipping, parts of the app remain restricted without an active profile. Data entered in the assistant is stored locally. Only explicitly configured cloud synchronization transfers the selected encrypted data to the chosen provider.
