Instructions for the Billance desktop app on Windows, macOS and Linux.

The appearance settings define how Billance looks and in which language the interface is displayed.

Language

Billance is available in German and English. The selection applies to the entire interface and to the help articles.

The language of the interface is independent of the language of a document. Whether an invoice is issued in German or English is decided in the document itself, or through the document template and the conditions of the recipient.

Theme

Several themes are available for the color scheme:

  • Light for bright surroundings
  • Dark for dimmed workplaces
  • Black as an especially high-contrast variant
  • System follows the setting of your operating system

Reduce animations

Reduce animations switches off transitions and movement. This helps with motion sensitivity and on devices where animations stutter.

Does the setting apply to all devices?

Appearance settings belong to the individual device and are not distributed through Cloud Sync. That way you can work in light mode at your desk and in dark mode on the go.

Desktop app

Using it in the desktop app

You find the settings under Settings → Appearance. There you can additionally adjust the application size: text and controls are enlarged or reduced together, which helps on very large or very high-resolution screens. Reset restores the default values.
