Rebill transfers a business expense into a customer invoice as a line item. Receipt and invoice remain linked so the source stays traceable.
Process
- Open a receipt that has not been rebilled yet
- Choose Rebill
- Select the target invoice or new draft and customer
- Add a percentage markup when needed
- Review the generated line item and the complete invoice draft
After transfer, the receipt stores the linked invoice ID. You can later open that invoice from the receipt. A linked receipt is not accidentally offered for a second new rebilling operation.
Desktop app
The action is available in the receipt editor. You can start a new invoice or add the line item to a suitable invoice draft that is already open.
Verify that costs, markup, tax treatment, and any document transfer are appropriate for the contract and tax situation.
