Recurring Expenses

Set up rent, subscriptions and insurance as standing receipts so recurring expenses are created automatically.

Instructions for the Billance desktop app on Windows, macOS and Linux.

A recurring expense describes a regularly expected cost such as rent or a subscription. Billance creates expected receipts on their due dates without consuming AI or validation allowance.

Create a series

Set vendor, document type, category, amount, currency, tax treatment, payment data, start, interval, and next due date. An existing receipt can be used as the starting point.

Due dates and catch-up

Active series are processed locally during schedule checks. When no more than twelve periods are due, Billance can catch them up automatically. With more than twelve missed dates, automation pauses and asks before creating a larger number.

Desktop app

Open Expenses → Recurring Expenses or create a series from an existing receipt. List and editor show next due date, interval, active state, and generated expected receipts.

Recurring expenses are Premium. Templates and links synchronize; a downgrade pauses generation but does not delete series or receipts.
